Shirley Giles Davis

I am a consultant/facilitator/writer/life-coach with more than 25 years of experience in each arena. My work includes expertise in non-profit, government, and business management, leadership, marketing, strategic planning, evaluation, and implementation.

Additional capacities I bring to the table include curriculum development, navigating change, community-building, conflict coaching, volunteer management, and fundraising. I have served as an instructor for the National Sheriffs’ Institute since 2010 and as faculty for Group Publishing’s Equipping Institutes for more than 10 years. I am a published author on a variety of subjects.

I hold degrees from Stanford University and Boston University, and am a graduate of the IBM Community Executive Program--Excellence in Management program, Coaching with the Enneagram, the Common Ground Mediation Center Conflict Coaching Training, Spiritual Direction Training, and I am a trainer for Stephen Ministers.

I work with a diverse clientele, including large and small businesses, city and county governments, state and national organizations, and religious and secular institutions. Clients have included: Victim-Offender Reconciliation Program, Sun Microsystems/SAP, Boulder County Aging Services, Boulder County Commissioners, United Way, Cities of Boulder and Longmont, Hospice, Meals on Wheels, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Concord Church Dallas, and Temple Grandin School.

As a former executive director overseeing relationships with 228 agency clients and over 3,000 individuals, I spearheaded management training and technical assistance to non-profit executives. My extensive media background, working for both radio and television stations for more than 20 years, adds communications and public relations proficiency to all I do.
